Grand Opening of the Renovated MRI/ CT Department
As part of continuous developments and improvements of its services, YGIA Polyclinic upgraded its MRI/ CT Department.
The department’s grand opening successfully took place on Thursday 22nd of November 2018, in the presence of the Board of Directors, Management, Associated Doctors and staff of YGIA Polyclinic. Political officials and media representatives were also present.
During the event, Dr. Cleanthis Ioannides, Head Doctor Radiologist at the MRI/ CT Department, presented the new state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging General Electric Architect 3 Tesla, just recently installed in the department. It is one of the few MRI scanners installed in Europe. It allows for advanced imaging, while its relatively wide diameter makes the examination comfortable even for people with claustrophobia.
The MRI/ CT Department at YGIA Polyclinic is one of the most modern and well-equipped centres in Cyprus, staffed by experienced radiologists and specialized paramedical staff. It is designed in such a way so as to carry out a wide range of examination based on international protocols.
