He obtained his medical degree from the Medical School of University of Crete. He was trained and received the specialty in Cardiology in the Department of Clinical Therapeutics at Ethnikon and Kapodistriakon University of Athens, at Alexandra General Hospital. Subsequently he was appointed as a Consultant A for the Greek National Health System at the General Hospital of Karystos. Specialized in the diagnosis, treatment and management of cases in a wide spectrum of Cardiology (coronary artery disease, heart failure, etc.) , echocardiography, stress tests, Holter monitoring etc.
