YGIA POLYCLINIC's PARTICIPATION TO EUPATI TRAINING SEMINAR OF PATIENTS' ASSOCIATIONS REPRESENTATIVES
YGIA Polyclinic aims at offering a total solution of health services to the patient, through a multilevel support. Under this frame, YGIA Polyclinic has registered as a member to EUPATI Cyprus, which stands for European Patients' Academy on Therapeutic Innovation. EUPATI aims to engage patients in the decision making process on health issues, though patients' training. For all of us in YGIA Polyclinic, keeping the patient informed is crucial during the whole process. As EUPATI members, we had the pleasure to participate today, 10th September in the Training Workshop of Patients' Representatives, which took place in the Journalists' House in Nicosia. Members of EUPATI, which were also present in their majority, are Patients' Associations, the Cyprus Patient Associations' Organization (OSAK), as well as Members of the Academic Community. The workshop specifically concerned the training of patient representatives participating in committees dealing with medicines and the subject matter covered a wide range of topics, such as phases of clinical studies, generics, clinical information, international and European guidelines, patient records, etc. Speakers/Trainers at the Workshop were representatives of the Educational community (University of Nicosia, University of West Attica), HIO, as well as OSAK.
