Dr. Fountzoulas MD, PGDiP Orth Eng., FEBOT, FRCS(Tr&Orth) CMI Level 7 Strategic Leadership & Management

Orthopedic Surgeon Traumatologist Dr. Fountzoulas is a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon – Traumatologist with international training, having completed comprehensive training in all aspects of shoulder surgery in the United Kingdom, France, and Italy. He completed advanced fellowships, primarily under Professor Pascal Boileau at the University Hospital of Nice, gaining deep knowledge in the diagnosis and surgical management of shoulder pathologies. He further specialized with 2-year fellowships at SWLEOC and North Tees University Hospital in the UK, enhancing skills in arthroscopy, arthroplasty, and upper limb trauma. To further advance his skills, he completed another fellowship in lower limb surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the UK, focusing on hip and knee replacements.

His postgraduate degree in Orthopedic Engineering from Cardiff University focused on biomechanics behind orthopedic implants. Dr. Foundoulas also completed a Level 7 CMI certificate from the BOA Future Leaders program aimed at improving leadership within the NHS. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and actively contributes to the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Elbow and Shoulder Society.

Dr. Fountzoulas ulas continues his practice as a consultant director in upper limb surgery at Milton Keynes University Hospital in the UK. His interests include advanced trauma, arthroplasty surgeries, and cutting-edge arthroscopic techniques. He also utilizes three-dimensional CT planning in shoulder replacements to enhance clinical outcomes for patients.
